Ashley Wallen at Makin’ Steps
Ashley Wallen – The Greatest Showman Choreographer came down to Makin’ Steps to take two exclusive workshops. Ashley has worked with some of the biggest stars and on the most high profile jobs. These have included – The Greatest Showman, Kylie Minogue and the latest Sainsbury’s advert to name but a few.
The two 1.5hr workshops were taken at the Makin’ Steps studios with nearly 100 kids taking part.
Learning routines from the film was so exciting for the kids and they gave it their all.
Having the chance to learn the original choreography from the man himself was such a great opportunity for our students, and as such gave them an insight into the world of dance.

Ashley Wallen has a very distinct choreographic style by blending the old with new in his diverse collection of work from MGM inspired commercials and videos to his current show-stopping choreography featured in the 2018 Golden Globe Best Motion Picture winning film, THE GREATEST SHOWMAN starring Hugh Jackman, Zac Efron, Zendaya, and Michelle Williams. Ashley also choreographed the spectacular live television promo performance of ‘Come Alive’ from The Greatest Showman with a cast of over 100 dancers which aired during CHRISTMAS STORY LIVE.
